History
The Friends of Wildwood Cemetery – PA is a nonprofit support organization founded by Caleb Hipple in 2025, to support and further the promotion, preservation, and appreciation of Wildwood Cemetery in Williamsport, PA.
Friends help by developing educational programs, performing research, officiating programs, and assisting with restoration projects.
What YOU Can Do
The Friends of Wildwood help by assisting with the various projects occurring at the cemetery. These typically fall under three categories: promotion, restoration, or research.
Friends can help promote the various events and activities occurring at the cemetery. Fundraising also plays a key role in accomplishing the different projects at the cemetery; as a Friend, you can secure monetary assistance or acquire grants on behalf of the cemetery.
The cemetery company repairs and restores different monuments on the grounds upon request; this leaves the markers without any requests in disrepair. The Friends of Wildwood aim to change that. Friends have the opportunity to train with cemetery staff to become certified in monument repairs, all free of charge.
With thousands of documents and pictures to boot, our staff are always working on preserving and digitizing records. As a Friend, you can train with the cemetery staff to be certified in document handling.
How to Join
It’s easy!
But first, here are our membership tiers:
Friend ($10.00 / year) – This level provides invitations to members-only events, free classes in headstone restoration and document handling, as well as a 10% discount at our gift shop.
Supporter ($25.00 / year) – This level provides everything in the Friend tier, but includes free admission to 1 event per year.
Preserver ($50.00 / year) – This level provides everything in the Supporter tier, but includes free classes for 2 people and free admission for 2 events per year.
Guardian ($100.00 / year) – This level provides everything in the Supporter Tier, but includes free classes for 4 people (must be scheduled simultaneously) and free admission to 5 events per year.
Family ($40.00 / year) – The Family tier provides everything in the Supporter tier, but also includes free admission for all events to any children under the age of 18 accompanied by a Family-tier member at any event.
