Our hours are currently 7:30am to 6:00pm from September 1st to March 31st, and 7:30am to 8:00pm from April 1st to August 31st. Our office is open 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.
Rules and Best Practices
We invite you to discover and immerse yourself in our rich historical landscape, with a gentle request to adhere to the following guidelines and recommended practices during your visit. These measures are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals and to preserve the integrity of our premises.
We kindly request your understanding that Wildwood is a functioning cemetery, and we ask for your utmost respect for our cemetery services, operations, and the surrounding grounds. Please exercise consideration for those paying their respects to their dearly departed and honor their privacy.
Please do not disturb any wildlife, including any local flora or fauna.
Photography is permitted; please tag us in the photo using our Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook listed at the page’s bottom.
Restrooms are available at the office.
Visiting
– The use of balls, frisbees, kites, and similar toys is prohibited.
– Avoid loud shouting or playing music.
– Sunbathing is not allowed.
– Kindly wear suitable attire, and note that costumes are only permissible for approved events
– Pedestrians are urged to exercise caution around passing vehicles and stay to the side of the road whenever feasible.
– Please refrain from littering; dispose of trash in the designated cans at the office.
Monuments and Markers
– Kindly avoid touching any monuments, mausoleums, or stones, as markers may become unstable, posing a safety hazard. Additionally, surfaces made of marble, sandstone, and brownstone are vulnerable to damage when handled.
– Grave rubbings are strictly prohibited, as they can harm the stones. Only trained professionals may conduct grave rubbings, and such requests should be directed to our office staff for consideration.
– Please refrain from sitting, walking, or leaning on any monuments. Bench monuments may only be used with permission from their owners
– Out of respect, refrain from disturbing gravesites or any items left as tributes.
Graveside Tributes
– Please limit tributes to natural, biodegradable materials. We suggest fresh flower bouquets, but make sure to remove any plastic, cellophane, or wire components.
– Tributes made of non-biodegradable materials, such as plastic, glass, metal, or any other synthetic materials, including artificial flowers, candles, figurines, and toys, are strictly prohibited.
– During the holiday season, evergreen arrangements are welcome, and palm crosses may be placed during the Easter season.
